Pop-Up Anti-Virus Software

This afternoon one anti-virus just pop-up and scanning our main pc and it says that I have virus in my computer or it detected using from their anti-virus. I purchased once before similar pop-up anti-virus and I spent about $40 and after I purchased, the virus still in my laptop. I have called their company that I wanted a refund but there was somebody answered me, which the accent is not an American accent, and he said to me that they will refund or will give my money back. Before, I purchased from them, I have read that it offer 30 days money back guarantee and since it does not work for me, I asked my money back and I was glad they refunded my money after I called them twice. I remember, I purchased on Aug. 2008, so guys beware these anti-virus just pop-up in your computer and scanning for virus and it will say that your computer has a virus or malware and then after it scanned your computer will asked to purchase their anti-virus software. I did search online about XP-GUARD as it is the one that I purchased, unfortunately it did not work in my laptop and I end up letting somebody to fix my laptop and reformat it but my laptop still acting slow and perhaps I should go to at best-buy and let the geek squad will really fix my laptop even it is a little bit pricey but worth it.
